This course is designed for those who wish to acquire practical skills in using eye-tracking with the Labvanced and R software. Through concrete examples and hands-on applications, the course will guide participants in designing and managing experiments that use eye-tracking to study visual and cognitive behavior remotely.

The course topics will be organized across 5 sessions and specifically cover the theoretical foundations of eye-tracking:

1. Metrics and functional interpretations;
2. Best practices for experimental design and noise reduction in data;
3. Using Labvanced to create custom experiments with eye-tracking;
4. Testing and data management of eye-tracking data;
5. Data management with R: management and pre-processing, heatmap visualization and descriptive statistics.

The course includes hands-on exercises to facilitate learning, and open, freely accessible online materials for post-course support. No prior experience is required, but a basic knowledge of R is recommended to make the most of the course's practical and applied usefulness.
