Special needs
The University provides a number of services for students with disabilities, designed to ensure that they have proper access while pursuing their studies and can participate fully in the university life.
The University provides someone to accompany students to exams and lessons, as well as assistance with administration. Enrolled students are helped by a tutor to select their study plan and to develop an efficient method for exam preparation, and are encouraged to participate in international mobility programmes. Their individual needs will be assessed so that they can have additional time for taking entrance tests and examinations, IT support, etc. Deaf and hard-of-hearing students can ask for the help of a professional sign-language interpreter, or for a real-time transcription of the lesson with stenotyping.
Job Placement is also provided by assessing the students’ abilities as well as the employment and work experience on offer. Special library and computer services support students during every step of their career at the University of Padova.
